Aussie indie outfit Sons of the East to perform first-ever Thekla headline show this Thursday

Posted on: 21 May 2019

Aussie indie-folk trio Sons Of The East are all set to perform their very first headline show at Bristol's favourite water-borne live music venue, Thekla, on Thursday 23rd May 2019.

Forming one stop of their current spring tour, their arrival to the city will be part gig, part celebration of their upcoming EP, Burn Right Through. This is actually their most extensive tour since the talented triptych formed in 2011 that will take in dates in this country as well as Scotland, Sweden, Ireland and Norway.

Last year saw the band's popularity go stratospheric, with them garnering more than 60 million streams and 15 million YouTube views (and that's just to date). Comprising Nic Johnston, Dan Wallage and Jack Rollins, they've been described by Undercover.FM News as a "soulful blend of keys, banjo, guitar and charismatic vocals".

With an enigmatic stage presence, finely-tuned musical beats and anthemic songs, their gigs are always lively, fun and energetic and always win over the crowd their excellent musicianship and infectious charm.

Doors swing open at 7pm, with advance tickets available at just £17.60 - get yours here. Thekla is located at The Grove, East Mud Dock, Bristol, BS1 4RB - contact the team on 0117 929 3301 for more information.
