Atomic at The Lanes in Bristol on Thursday 15th March 2018

Posted on: 14 Mar 2018

Shake, rattle and roll your way through the evening when The Lanes in Bristol hosts its Atomic party night on Thursday 15th March 2018.
The 50s might have been famous for the birth of the teenager, diners and drive ins and T-Birds and Pink Ladies'-style high school rebellion, but it also kicked serious derriere in the music department too.

Thursday then, will be a celebration of everything hip and cool about one of the most influential decades ever, spinning the vinyl with some of the most memorable and iconic hits ever belted out in a recording studio with an evening of classic songs from the 50s right through to the present day.

With The Lanes' resident DJs on hand to provide the soundtrack for the evening, you can expect the jukebox to include the likes of The Temptations, James Brown, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Kinks, Joy Division, New Order, Wham!, Spandau Ballet and....well, we could go on, but you get the picture.
Of course, gig-going is thirsty work - so it's a bit of luck there are plenty of sensational drinks offers throughout the night to whet your whistle. A sample of the appealingly-priced libations include shots of Sambucca, Tequila, Sourz and Fireball for £2 a pop; vodka, rum, gin and whiskey with mixers for £2.50 singles/£4 doubles; and cans of Orchard Pig Revellers cider and Adnams Dry Hopped Lager for £3.

There will also be a special offer on bowling which will set you back a very reasonable £3.50 per person; and if you're in the mood to belt out a tune or two as well as listen to the ones being pumped out on the sound system, you can have a crack at karaoke for £15 per hour.

Atomic starts at 9pm and runs through until 2am. Entry is free. You can find out more about this and other gigs and events at The Lanes here.
