Posted on: 05 Feb 2018For those of us who generally balk at the usual Valentine's Day expectations of expensive chocolates, saccharine love poems and half-dead blooms purchased at the last minute from a petrol station, Arnos Vale in Bristol is offering a deliciously dark alternative when it hosts a cemetery tour and screening of Corpse Bride on Wednesday 14th February 2018.
The evening of spine-tingling spooks and scares commences from 6.30pm at the Spielman Centre from where you'll be taken on a tour whilst being regaled terrifying tales of forbidden love, love from beyond the grave and secret love signs etched on the gravestones.
It will all finish at the grandiose candle-lit Anglican Chapel for an indoor screening of the Tim Burton stop-motion animated classic, Corpse Bride, the flesh-creepingly fantastic fable of a young man whisked away to the Land of the Dead after inadvertently proposing to a dead woman.
