African Carnival for World Lion Day at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm on Saturday 4th August 2018

Posted on: 01 Aug 2018

Celebrate World Lion Day at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm in Bristol on Saturday 4th August 2018.

Spirits will be high and there will be a positively exuberant and abundant cavalcade of African dancers weaving their way around the zoo.  Joining them will be a thrilling carnival featuring acrobats, drummers and incredible range of giant African carnival animals.

Everyone can get involved too, with plenty of drumming and dance demonstrations being put on by Unika Dance Events, who will be making their second visit at the zoo to mark the celebrations.

The impressive, sprawling venue's Big Cat House will be running a raft of fabulous fundraising activities throughout the day, raising money for the Safina Lion Conservation Fund (Safina who, in question, is the mother of Masai, who was born at Linton Zoo, who founded the project).
A free Big Cat keeper talk will take place at 1.30pm where you can marvel at the stunning training skills of both keeper and cats.

We're sure the day of celebrations will be absolutely purrrr-fect fun for the whole family - a roaring success, if you will. You can find out more about this and other events at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm here.
