From the mind of the Year One Theatre Making Company of The Wardrobe Ensemble as well as Bristol School of Acting’s Theatre Making programme comes a fresh new show that would catch the conscience of a king.

Elsinore will bring together wild movement, vivid storytelling, and candid extracts from the creatives’ diaries for a radical show that plays on the great William Shakespeare’s timeless and deeply explored masterpiece, Hamlet.

The play is directed by Tom Brennan, a director, playwright, filmmaker and founding member of The Wardrobe Ensemble, and devised by The Company’s BA (Hons) students for Theatre Making, an industry-led performance training focused on collaborating and the creation of original work.

This comes as part of the BSA degree productions programme that also includes productions of Frederico García Lorca’s explosive Blood Wedding, Matthew Dunster’s 2016 play Those Who Trespass, and Tony Kushner’s sweeping drama, Angels in America.

Elsinore runs at Tobacco Factory Theatres from Thursday 27 until Saturday 29 June 2024 with standard tickets available from £15 and concessions from £12 – secure your tickets HERE.
