While 2020 looks to be a no-go for large events and festivals, 2021 is shaping up to be a busy one, especially here in Bristol.
We’re talking huge outdoor gigs, events for foodies – there’s even a dog festival planned to take place in Ashton Court Estate.
So grab your diaries – it’s time to start planning. Here’s eleven exciting festivals and events happening in Bristol next year.
Bristol Anime & Gaming Con
When: Saturday 10 April to Sunday 11 April 2021
Provisional dates for the 2021 Bristol Anime & Gaming Con have been announced. It's a two-day event celebrating anime, gaming, cosplay and comics.
Packed with exhibitions, workshops and gaming tournaments, the festival is organized by Animeleague. To find out more, visit the website.
The Gin To My Tonic Festival
When: Saturday 20 February 2021
Over 100 different gins from across the world – in one place. Let us introduce The Gin To My Tonic Festival, taking place in February 2021 at St George’s.
Tickets are on sale now, and cost just £15 a pop.
Eat Drink Bristol Fashion
When: Saturday 1 May to Sunday 2 May 2021
It’s a new one: due to coronavirus, the first instalment of Eat Drink Bristol Fashion was postponed until 2021.
A chance to celebrate the city’s diverse food culture, the festival, which is set to take place in Castle Park, will host food stalls, speakers, DJs and live music. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
Foodies Festival
When: Friday 14 May to Sunday 16 May 2021
One of the UK’s biggest food festivals returns to Durdham Downs in 2021.
A mouthwatering concoction of food stalls, live music and masterclasses with top chefs, Foodies is a must-visit for, well, foodies.
Bristol Photo Festival
When: Spring 2021 (Dates TBC)
It’s another new one: the Bristol Photo Festival will bring a series of photography exhibitions to the city in 2021.
Exhibitions will take inspiration from the theme ‘A Sense of Place', and will be led by famed Bristol photographer Martin Parr.
Venues confirmed to take part include the RWA, the Bristol Museum & Gallery and Spike Island.

DogFest West
When: Saturday 19 June and Sunday 20 June 2021
A festival for dog-lovers, DogFest West, returns to Ashton Court Estate in June 2021 for a weekend of activities, shopping and walks.
Expect mass dog walks, loads of exhibitors and a puppy zone, plus much more.

Bristol Volksfest
When: Thursday 10 June to Sunday 13 June 2021
Want to be part of one of the largest grassroots Volkswagen shows in the South West? Now’s your chance.
Established in 1992, Bristol Volksfest celebrates all things Volkswagen with displays, traders and live music and entertainment.
Bristol Harbour Festival 2021
When: Friday 16 July to Sunday 18 July 2021
Did you know? 2021 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Bristol Harbour Festival.
Expected to take place between Friday 16 July and Sunday 18 July 2021, the annual festival brings activities, music, food markets and visiting vessels to the city.

FriendsFest
When: Friday 16 July to Sunday 25 July 2021
Visit Monica’s apartment then grab a coffee at Central Perk – FriendsFest returns to Blaise Castle Estate next year.
An immersive touring event celebrating all-things ‘Friends’, FriendsFest brings replica sets, themed activities and exclusive to the U.K.

Legends Festival
When: Saturday 21 August to Sunday 22 August 2021
Legends Festival promises a weekend of legendary pop and rock courtesy of the world’s biggest tribute acts at Blaise Castle Estate.
Cloneplay, Abba Mania and Absolute Bowie – each act enshrines the legacy of huge acts with internationally-acclaimed tributes.
WingsFest

It’s the ultimate chicken wing showdown: WingsFest returns to Bristol in 2021.
Expect live music, entertainment, activities and of course, loads of chicken. Did someone say ‘eating challenge’?
