10th Annual Bristol Zombie Walk on Saturday 28th October 2017

Posted on: 02 Oct 2017

Jot the date down in your Diary for the Recently Deceased - Saturday 28th October 2017 - for it's a day of freakish, flesh-flaking fun as the 10th Official Bristol Zombie Walk lurches into the city.

There will be more bloodied limbs, ghoulish grins and beyond-the-grave hysterics for this macabre-themed (but family-friendly) ghastly gig that's aiming to be the biggest event held from beyond the grave yet.

It all kicks off from 1pm on College Green when the mass hordes and united undead will lumber their way across town, eventually meeting up with Avon Fire and Rescue Service where everyone will be processed through their 'mass contamination' set up. Freshly cleaned zombies will get a t-shirt and a rundown of precisely what they'd do if a real hazardous substance scenario ever occurred - or even, dare we say it, a zombie apocalypse.

But the grave-digging japes and flesh-crawling tomfoolery don't stop there. Oh no, fellow corpses. Straight afterwards, you'll lurch your way to the Full Moon to ramp up the 10th birthday party in blood-curdling style for raft of reanimated ravers that will include The Chicken Brother, DJ Leo, Smith & Mighty, Mad Apple Circus, The Rin Tins, Vamos, Ghosty, Butcher and DJ Papa Moomin.

Full details of Avon Fire's involvement in the event will be rolled over over the next few weeks, and chances are they'll need some volunteers to help out with the activities throughout the afternoon. Details of the exact route and other morbidly marvelous goings-on will also be released closer to the time.

Pre-Halloween preambles don't come any more deliciously, flesh-chompingly fantastic than this. Keep your finger on the pulse - assuming, of course, you still have one - at the event's official Facebook page.
