Bristol Rovers v Bolton Wanderers on 22 October 2019

Bristol Rovers v Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday 22nd October 2019, kick off at 7.45pm at The Memorial Stadium on Filton Avenue, BS7 0BF.

At the time of writing Bolton Wanderers are in a lot of trouble. Here's hoping the sale of the club goes through so that they aren't in the same dire situation as Bury. I'm sure the bigger premiership clubs could spare a few pounds to stop this situation occurring. Bristol Rovers haven't played them since the 2016/17 with Rovers losing 2-1 at home and salvaging a 1-1 draw away thanks to Billy Bodin's equaliser.

Bristol Rovers are in their third consecutive season in League One, with a first taste of life in the third tier of English football laying the foundation for the Pirates to make a concerted bid to join arch-rivals Bristol City in the Championship.

Ticket prices range from £19 to £25 with concessions for children, those under 21 and if you purchase tickets online.

BRISTOL ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB - THE PIRATES

Nicknamed The Pirates, Bristol Rovers Football Club were established in 1883 and currently play in The Sky Bet Football League One, the third tier of English football.

The club plays its home matches at the 12,300 capacity Memorial Stadium, in the Horfield area of Bristol. Having been bought by billionaire Jordanian Waed al-Qadi and his family in 2016, it's hoped that the club will start be challenging for promotion to the Championship before long.

Rovers have played in the English football league since 1920, with their best ever finish being in both 1956 and 1959 when they secured sixth place in the second tier of English football, then known as Division Two. Having suffered relegation to League Two in 2011 and then into the Conference in 2014, they managed to bounce straight back with two consecutive promotions in 2014/15 and 2015/16 to regain their League One status in 2016/17, where they've remained ever since.

The club honours include the 1990 Football League Third Division title when they finished 2 points ahead of arch-rivals and that seasons Runners-Up Bristol City.
