A celebration of the world’s best nature photography is coming to Bristol

Posted on: 08 May 2024

Titans of nature documentation, Wildscreen and Wildlife Photographer of the Year, are joining forces for a one-day photography symposium, in Bristol and online.

WildPhotos will take place at Bristol Aquarium on Sunday 13 October 2024.

This special event will see a world-class lineup of speakers coming together for a unique programme of talks and panels at Bristol Aquarium, exploring both the triumphs and challenges of capturing the beauty of nature in photography as well as asking the question: ‘What next for the genre?’.

WildPhotos tickets are available now online, HERE.

Kathy Moran, current Jury Chair of the Natural History Museum, London’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year and formerly National Geographic Magazine's Deputy Director of Photography, will be producing and hosting the event.

The WildPhotos lineup will feature unique talks and panels featuring well over a dozen of the world’s leading wildlife photographers. The event is aimed at both professional and amateur photographers, thought leaders from the industry, photography suppliers and conservationists.

National Geographic photographer, explorer and NGS Storytelling Fellow Thomas P Peschak, who specialises in documenting the beauty and fragility of the world’s oceans, will headline the event. Trained as a marine biologist, he is now an award-winning photojournalist and Director of Storytelling for Save Our Seas Foundation.

WildPhotos will also display a carefully curated selection of images from Wildlife Photographer of the Year’s global community displayed in a public exhibition on College Green, celebrating the world’s best wildlife and conservation photographers. Host of the event, Kathy Moran, has said of the announcement:

“I’m honoured to be producing and hosting WildPhotos this year, particularly in this, the 60th anniversary of Wildlife Photographer of the Year and just ahead of the world-renowned Wildscreen Festival. I look forward to some lively discussions with some of the world’s most talented photographers working today.”

WildPhotos will take place at Bristol Aquarium and online on Sunday 13 October 2024 with tickets available online now, HERE.
