The Six Nations, one of the most exciting and hard-fought tournaments in rugby, is just around the corner. Those lucky enough to get tickets for one or more of this year's matches need not pay much attention to this article, but for the masses of fans that will have to settle with watching their side on the telly, below is a rundown of the best pubs and bars in Bristol to catch the action. All eyes will surely be on Saturday's late kickoff as holders Ireland face England at the Aviva Stadium on the opening weekend - see all the details below.

Steam and Shebeen - Clifton Down Station, Bristol BS8 2PN

The Golden Guinea is a traditional yet modern pub in the Redcliffe area of Bristol, close to the waterfront and a short walk from the city centre. The diverse function room is perfect for events and celebrations which comes complete with its own private covered area outside with settees and muralled walls by local Graffiti artist Cheo. Great place for a bunch of mates to relax downstairs and watch the rugby.
