AMY: A Tribute to Amy Winehouse at The Fleece on Friday 18th January 2019

The unforgettable musical legacy of Amy Winehouse will be celebrated when Bristol's The Fleece presents AMY: A Tribute to Amy Winehouse on Friday 18th January 2019.

Created by fans for the fans of the singer songwriter, the gig will feature a full 8-piece band with complete horn section and run through the singer's back-catalogue of incredible songs with authenticity and passion.

Amy herself will be represented and re-imagined by the phenomenally talented Stacey Lou, whose deep-felt emotion for the music comes through in her impassioned, raw, impeccable renditions.

Before she tragically passed away in 2011 aged just 27, Winehouse was known for her eclectic blend of musical styles, traversing soul, rhythm and blues and jazz.  Frank, her debut album, was nominated for the Mercury Prize as well as being a huge critical and commercial success, but it was her sophomore album, Back to Black, which made her career go stratospheric, becoming the first British woman to win five Grammys including Best New Artist and Song of the Year.

This tribute group replicates all the feeling, emotion, honesty and power of Winehouse's original hits and it's no small wonder they're widely regarded as one of the UK's superlative interpreters of Amy's music, her influence and her immeasurable legacy.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost £12.50 in advance and can be purchased here.

The Fleece is located at 12 St Thomas Street, Bristol, BS1 6JJ.  Tel. 0117 945 0996
