What The Folk at The Golden Guinea on Sunday 6th January 2019

Music legends What The Folk will grace Bristol's preeminent boozer The Golden Guinea for a right royal folky knees-up on Sunday 6th January 2019.

Folk fans in the city will need no introduction to these musical maestros, who will play their usual fun, fantastic set in one of Bristol's best backstreet pub gems for a toe-tapping gig and a cheerfully welcome way to usher in the new year.

But it won't be just this excellent, popular group playing throughout the evening. Oh no, Sir. If you're a fervent follower of folk music and fancy yourself as a bit of performer then you're encouraged to take part in one of the few Open Mic slots that will take place in between the set - so if you've got the urge to have a crack at a folk cover or try out your own original folk material, this is your chance.

The Golden Guinea (self-proclaimed and inarguably 'Bristol's best backstreet boozer') is brimming with history, character and charm and is one of the most popular pubs in the city, pouring tip-top quality beverages, serving cracking pub grub, and hosting regular entertainment nights.

A legendary venue, a lively folk band, one tremendous Sunday night. What more could you want?
