Plymouth Gin Club at The Milk Thistle on Thursday 29th November 2018

Posted on: 27 Nov 2018

Gin has enjoyed something of a renaissance over the recent past, so what better time to quaff its intoxicating, heady deliciousness than to take part in The Milk Thistle's special event, The Plymouth Gin Club, on Thursday 29th November 2018.

One of the more exquisite varieties of this juniper-based beverage, Plymouth Gin is made from Dartmoor's naturally soft water and botanicals and includes ingredients such as coriander seed, lemon peel, sweet orange peel, angelica root, orris root and green cardamom. One of the first navy-strength gins on the market, it also holds the prestigious honour of being mentioned in the first ever Savoy cocktail book.

Special event this weekend @ The Milk Thistle

Those knowledgeable folk from Plymouth Gin will be heading down to Bristol to impart their wisdom to the gin-hungry (or should that be thirsty?) multitudes, offering up illuminating insight, tasters, a couple of specially created cocktails, a tutored tasting from gin impresario Annie Ingram and the expert knowledge of Milk Thistle's excellent bartenders. There will also be a smattering of light nibbles to chomp on betwixt the tasting.

To get in on the gin tasting act, tickets cost £20 per person and can be purchased here.  The Milk Thistle is located at Colston Avenue, Bristol, BS1 1EB.
