Head to the river this weekend to check out Bristol's Lifestyle Quarter

Posted on: 16 Nov 2018

Bristol's burgeoning Lifestyle Quarter is as lively now as it's ever been, with a great range of food, drinks, beauty spots and more situated on the river at the end of the Millennium Promenade. It's all open for business this weekend so why not get yourself down and check it out - you never know what you might find!

Bristol's Lifestyle Quarter.

With so many welcoming areas full of top-notch bars and eateries, Bristolians are spoilt for choice when it comes to a destination for an afternoon out. Clifton, of course, boasts most of the city's more upmarket establishments, Stokes Croft and Bedminster are home to some beloved local independents, and Broadmead is your best bet for shopping, but the Lifestyle Quarter on Millennium Promenade offers a unique and much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city life despite being just a short walk from the centre.

If it's a meal (or just drinks) with a view you're after, Broken Dock should certainly be on your radar. Sat on the dock across from the famous SS Great Britain, the kitchen & bar offers up some of the area's best home cooked breakfasts, freshly made soups, mouth-watering mains, award-winning roasts, a great range of ales, fine wines, crafted cocktails, and classic selection of spirits. Head to their website for more information.

Alternatively, you can head to either Spoke & Stringer or Salt Cafe just around the corner, both of which serve up coffee, breakfast, deli snacks, tapas and more at great prices. Salt also boasts Spin on their grounds, a cafe-turned events space running a wide range of activities every week - check out their calendar to find out what's coming up.

If it's a bit of pampering you're after then look no further than Kings and Queens, an independent hair salon offering creative styles for both men and women. Their handpicked team prides itself on helping you achieve exactly the style you are looking for and ensure they maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for the ultimate barbering experience. Alternatively, take a short walk across the quay to Bloggs Hairdressers who focus more on women's cuts and styling.

Bristol's Lifestyle Quarter is situated at the foot of the Millennium Promenade, directly adjacent to the river and across from the famous SS Great Britain. Get yourself down there this weekend and see what you can find!
