We Are Leif to play intimate live show at Steam this week

Posted on: 13 Nov 2018

Bristol-based four-piece We Are Leif are all set to perform live at Steam Bristol this Thursday (15th November) in a special one-off event. Entry on the night is FREE with optional contributions, so get yourself down to Steam this week and check it out!

We Are Leif will perform live at Steam Bristol this week.

Led by the songwriting expertise of vocalist Louise Victoria and drummer Mark Whitlam, We Are Leif expertly span a balance of jazz influences with a groove and soundscape more associated with RnB and neo-soul.

Made up of the Whitlam and Victoria (mentioned above), bassist Chris Jones and Dale Hambridge on the keys, the quartet are no strangers to Bristol venues, winning widespread acclaim in and around the city for their intimate live shows.

While Louise Victoria's voice sits somewhere among the company of Gretchen Parlato and Becca Stevens, musically the group nods in the direction of Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and other contemporaries while retaining a trademark sound that's right at home in the Westcountry, steeped in the history of groups like Portishead, Massive Attack and Lamb.

We Are Leif's sound is, therefore, a perfect fit for Steam, a vibrant and unique bar located just off Whiteladies Road in Clifton. Entry to the gig is absolutely FREE on the night (with voluntary donations/contributions welcome) so there's no excuse not to get yourself down this Thursday night!
