Calling all slapstick fans! Bristol Slapstick Festival will be taking over The Cube cinema for a Naked Gun marathon on Sunday 18th November.

 

Warming the crowds ahead of its January return, the Bristol Slapstick Festival is celebrating with a day-long marathon of classic comedies at The Cube Microplex Cinema!

 

This marathon is not just any – oh no… It’s a day dedicated to the slapstick genius of Leslie Nielsen’s Naked Gun movies! The marathon will screen all three of these classic films throughout the day. What better way to spend an autumnal Sunday?

The event will be hosted by stand-up comedian, celebrity mastermind winner and Nielsen super-fan Lloyd Langford and will culminate in a final pre-screening discussion with Chris Serle, TV presenter and reporter, exploring at the career of Leslie Nielsen. 

 

The Bristol Slapstick Festival is a leading season of silent, vintage and classic screen comedy. Packed with quality screenings, celeb guests and talks; the festival’s reputation continues to grow year on year. It’ll return on January 16th 2019!

 

But until then, grab yourself a ticket for the marathon! You can purchase tickets for one film (£5.34) or all three (£12.81). The day’s itinerary is: 

 

2 pm, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988)
5 pm, The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear (1991) 
8 pm, Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994) (with discussion)
