Don't miss the Brandon Hill Beer Festival kicking off this Friday 5th October!

Posted on: 04 Oct 2018

Two words: Beer Festival. Bristol hop heads should be paying special attention to this one: the Brandon Hill Beer Festival is upon us, with several breweries from around the world set to showcase their finest creations at a selection of Bristol pubs for three full days from Friday 5th October-Sunday 7th. Pubs involved so far are The Bag of Nails, The Lime Kiln, The Hope & Anchor and The Three Tuns. Scroll down for more info!

The Brandon Hill Beer Festival will run from 12pm-10pm on Friday 5th October.

With proceedings kicking off at midday on Friday and carrying on until Sunday evening, you've got plenty of time to sample some of the brilliant beers on offer, and the cast assembled by the festival's organisers is pretty special. On cask, representatives from Anspach & Hobday, Vibrant Forest, Dancing Man, Bad Seed, Gun, Intrepid, Beatnikz Republic, Great Heck, Black Iris, Crouch Vale, Eight Arch and Dark Revolution will be on hand to provide you with their best offerings, while Oedipus of Holland, Belgian Boon, Rogue from America and Mikkeller representing Denmark will be available on Keg.

With Bag of Nails, The Lime Kiln, The Three Tuns and The Hope & Anchor all involved you're not short of options when it comes to a venue on the day. See below for a full list of programmes at each pub:

Bag Of Nails:

Expect chaotic shenanigans, lots of kittens and plenty of good beer! Live Music on Sunday from 7:30pm with Butcher Berkeley.

The Lime Kiln:

The Kiln will be setting up additional casks and will be stocking Incredible brewing Co, New Bristol Brewery, Twisted Angel, Pheasantry, Beowulf, Moor, Arbor, Old Dairy, Tileys and Spectrum, all served, of course, with plenty of banter.

The Three Tuns:

Thursday: Warmup Party featuring Electric Bear
Come on down for a tap takeover from our friends at Electric Bear. It's going to be a proper party with beer pong and crude bingo with shit prizes and some good prizes to win too.

Friday: Indoor and outdoor bar with additional casks, fridge stock and bag in box ciders. Close up Magic from our resident magician Magic Malka 5-8pm. Late license til 2am.

Saturday: Just simple drinking! We have 10% of all third flights before 4pm.

Sunday: Live Americana Music from Red Ray from 6pm.

The Hope & Anchor:

Friday: Evening from 7pm with a Twisted Oak tap-takeover - meet the brewer and learn stuff about his beers.

Saturday: Live music from 8pm.

Sunday: Enjoy a cracking pint with a hearty Sunday roast, served until 8pm, followed by a quiz!

The Brandon Hill Beer Festival kicks off at midday tomorrow and continues until Sunday evening. For more information on the festival or to contact the organisers with any queries, check out the Brandon Hill Beer Festival Facebook listing.
