Daniel Karlsson Trio set to perform live at Bristol's Hen & Chicken this Sunday
Posted on: 28 Sep 2018Acclaimed musicians The Daniel Karlsson Trio will perform at Hen & Chicken in Bristol on Sunday 30th September 2018. They've already made a name for themselves as one of the most interesting groups around with their distinctive blend of Swedish and European jazz.
Their first album Das Taxibåt was released in September 2013 and a big success, but their sophomore album Fusion for Fish marked them out as a musical force to be reckoned with, winning the Swedish Radio's Jazz Group of the Year Award 2014, Swedish jazz magazine OJ's Golden Disc 2015 as well as the Swedish Jazz Grammy 2015.
With music penned by Karlsson himself, the trio's faultless, clear performances and combination of soul, pop and 60s jazz (yet with a noticeable Nordic flavour) have made them one of the most interesting and talented groups currently touring.
