Brian Conley and Gok Wan to star in Bristol Pantomime Cinderella

Pantomime favourite Cinderella is coming to The Bristol Hippodrome this winter!  Brian Conley and Gok Wan are brought together in the famous rags to riches tale that includes all the usual suspects: the ugly sisters, a prince charming as well as the fairy godmother and Cinderella’s best friend Buttons.

Brian Conley and Gok Wan to star in Cinderella Pantomime in Bristol

The loveable character of Buttons will be played by Hairspray and Strictly Come Dancing star Brian Conley whilst fashionista Gok Wan will take on the all important role of The Fairy Gokmother.  Cinderella is the fourth pantomime in which the two have starred.

Brian’s credentials include television sitcoms and chat shows as well musical theatre in which he has starred as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray and everyone’s favourite crook Fagin in the national tour of Oliver!. Brian was nominated for the prestigious Oliver Award for his performance in the title role in Jolson.  Other credits include: Barnum, Brother Love, Me and My Girl, The Music Man and family favourite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His 30 years in showbusiness also boasts the release of three albums and his latest project, Still the Greatest Entertainer (in his Price Range), tours the UK this year.

In his sixth panto Gok will be responsible for creating the most beautiful ball gown for the belle of the ball, Cinderella herself.  As a TV personality Gok makes frequent appearances as a guest host on This Morning.  His hugely successful series How to Look Good Naked was the style guru’s springboard into all things fashion and he has graced our screens with style tips in Gok’s Fashion Fix, Gok’s Style Secrets and Gok Live Stripping For Summer amongst others.  He also taught us chinese cookery in How to Cook Chinese.
