Bristol's Big Green Picnic at Bristol Cathedral on Wednesday 29th August 2018

Posted on: 26 Aug 2018

It's green all the way - and we're talking from an environmentally-friendly standpoint, not the general colour - when Bristol Cathedral hosts its Big Green Picnic on Wednesday 29th August 2018.

College Green in Bristol

Taking place on College Green between 11.30am and 2pm, the event - an ethically-charged joint collaboration between Bristol Cathedral and the Diocese of Bristol - encourages everyone in the city to pack a plastic-free picnic hamper brimming with plenty of yummy local, organic produce, hop on the nearest First Bus and enjoy your lunch on the city's glorious green.

In addition to the food, this spirited celebration of green, ethical living will see plenty of green-centric activities to take part in, a raft of stalls, and a phalanx local speakers espousing the virtues of adopting a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle.

Everyone is welcome and the event is free. You can find out more here. Bristol Cathedral is located at College Green, Bristol, BS1 5TJ.  Tel. 0117 9468184
