Get running for Penny Brohn UK at Bristol Half Marathon

Grab your running shoes - Bristol-based cancer charity Penny Brohn need runners for the Bristol Half Marathon on 23rd September 2018! 

 

Established in 1979, Penny Brohn UK works to support people through cancer diagnosis, treatment and, recovery. Through therapies and courses, the charity has helped countless sufferers, and the people who mean most to them, fight the disease with renewed knowledge and optimism. 

 

Now, Penny Brohn needs your help. They’re looking for runners to take part in the iconic Half Marathon race on Sunday 23 September! The event will see runners pace along the harbourside and underneath the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Penny Brohn UK has places available for £40 registration and asks runners to raise £250 sponsorship. The sponsorship can pay for a person living with cancer to attend one of the charity’s residential Living Well courses. 

 

Running not really your forte? You can go along and become a volunteer cheerer to boost and motivate the runners participating. 
 

Michelle, who ran for Penny Brohn UK last year, said: “Running for Penny Brohn UK was such a privilege. The support from the team was incredible; I've never felt like a charity has had my back like that before! The cheerpoints on the day were great and really kept me going - especially those jelly babies! I'm so happy to tell everyone I've raised money for Penny Brohn UK and continue to wear my purple vest with pride.”

 

Penny Brohn runners will be given a personalized running vest, fundraising pack and, training, as well as an opportunity to visit the charity to see how their sponsorship has helped change lives.
