Give us a bit of history about Resolve Recruitment and the sectors you are involved in.

Started in 2014 focusing exclusively on Sales Recruitment, we quickly made a name for ourselves supplying high calibre staff to businesses UK wide. This success has allowed us to grow as a brand and move into additional sectors including Office Support, Driving & Industrial Recruitment across 2 branches here in Bristol. To add further value to our services and the needs of our clients, we also operate Resolve Training Services where we provide Driver CPC, Health & Safety, Paediatric Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Fork Lift Truck training. We are now 11 staff strong in just 4 years of trading.

What makes you stand out from the crowd of recruitment agencies in Bristol?

We are a fully independent yet highly experienced group of consultants offering an entire range of recruitment solutions (temporary, contract or permanent) meaning we are able to work on any vacancy any business offers us.

What are the core sectors you work in?

Core sectors include Sales, Office Support, Driving and Industrial recruitment across Bristol and the UK – this is all on a temporary, contract or permanent basis.

There are roles listed nationwide, is it mainly Bristol and the South West as a target?

Our Sales & Office Support division work across the UK with a heavy focus on the Bristol market, however, our Driving & Industrial branch focus predominantly on the Bristol/surrounding regions with some activity in other areas.

There are some great tips on your blog to make you stand out at interview and at CV stage. What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to prospective candidates?

Preparation is key. Ensure that a candidate attends an interview knowing a good level of information about the role, the company, what they do/offer etc. This shows you have gone the extra step underlining their desire to work for them.Contact details for Resolve's Driving & Industrial team.

A lot of people can feel like they're stuck in a rut in their current jobs. If they register their CV’s are you able to “job-match” them?

This is exactly what we do. We would add them to our secure internal CRM system and mark them as a certain skill level/background etc along with location. Off of the back of this, they would receive appropriate vacancy information via email in the correct location inviting them to apply if they are interested.

For prospective employers that are expanding or need to fill their team, what’s the best way for them to get in touch?

Phone. We like to talk. We like to consult and establish needs to ensure we are fully loaded and good to go once we have everything so a detailed and structured call is very welcome. Of course, an initial email enquiry is also welcome. There will also be no hard sell that can exist in the recruitment markets!

You also have a training division. Can both individuals and companies sign up to improve their skills or upskill their team?

Absolutely. Businesses and individuals can utilise our training services to improve career opportunities and performance within the workplace. We are fully qualified and approved so only the best hands-on training is provided.

What courses are you currently running?

We are regularly running First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Driver CPC, Manual Handling and soon Fork Lift Training courses.

And finally, if you were Mayor of Bristol for a day what would you change?

The parking in Bristol is horrific. Small businesses and the consumer are stung by charges and it's very difficult for business owners to park near their own offices/shops as well as the consumer too! I also feel the whole traffic system is a mess. One small accident or road closure in the centre grinds traffic to a halt across the city!
