Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary is a local independent charity that rescues and rehomes unwanted, abandoned and often mistreated cats and dogs. Unfortunately they receive no funding from the government or National Lottery so must rely on the generosity and goodwill of their supporters to keep the kennel and cattery doors open. It costs approximately £475,000 every year to run – that's over £1,330 each and every single day. They take in 800 cats, dogs, and rabbits on occasion, every year and never put a healthy animal to sleep; instead they work tirelessly to find new homes for all their ‘guests’.
