Protecting the environment is a key value to the brands ethos and in an effort to be more environmentally conscious, Collection & Co creates projects to reuse materials that are either discarded or left over from previous collections.

Ethical sourcing

The skillful production of the small batches of shoes takes place in Greece that adheres to fair working conditions. The brands mission is to create beautiful products by using safe and ethical practices. Collection & Co paves the way for a truly sustainable future by implementing less of a carbon footprint than a conventional leather factory.

Piñatex® Collaboration

For AW18 Collection & Co are thrilled to introduce a range of styles made with the exciting new vegan leather alternative Piñatex® - a natural and sustainable non-woven textile made from pineapple leaf fibres. These fibres are the by-product of the pineapple harvest and therefore no extra land, water, fertilizers or pesticides are required to produce the material. Piñatex® resembles a textured leather and is soft but strong, light and breathable.

‘The most important issue for the brand is choosing high quality fabrics that are not only vegan, but also environmentally friendly. However, my goal for Collection & Co is to explore new ways to become a forward thinking brand by searching for on-trend and ethical materials ’. – Felesha Papa, Founder

In a bid to grow ever more sustainable, Collection & Co have utilised this revolutionary textile to cover ethical agendas, providing positive social and economic impact as well as maintaining a low environmental footprint. By using the very best materials confirms the brands passion to transcend the need for leather.
