Boston Manor at Thekla on Friday 21st September

Posted on: 13 Aug 2018

Blackpool pop-punk band Boston Manor are headlining Thekla this September as they embark on their latest UK tour.

Boston Manor is laddy, energetic take on pop-punk; as they merge thrashing choruses and reflective verses with throaty vocals and thundering drums, they forge a very similar sound to that of Don Broco. After playing the main stage at this year's Download Festival, they've proved themselves as ones to watch in this scene.

Since forming in 2013, the band have signed to Pure Noise Records, released a catalogue of sound and are now prepping the release of their second studio album Welcome to the Neighbourhood.

According to Rocksound, Welcome to the Neighbourhood is inspired by a dystopian vision of the band’s hometown of Blackpool; a reflective tribute to the previously booming seaside destination and its present social issues. Listen to one of the new tunes from the album, 'Bad Machine', here.

Grab your tickets here. Thekla is located at The Grove, East Mud Dock, Bristol BS1 4RB.
