Feel Good Friday 5k at Tyntesfield on Friday 10th August 2018

Posted on: 06 Aug 2018

Tyntesfield estate. It has to be one of the most magnificent, beautiful places in, not just the region, but the whole of the UK. In fact, if you asked me I'd say it was the perfect spot to go for a refreshing, end-of-week, Friday morning run. Turns out I'm nothing if not prescient and this is precisely the place you can go to take part in a series of Feel Good Friday 5k events that run from now until the end of the year. The next one takes place on Friday 10th August 2018.

Tyntesfield Estate Run

For those who have been before, you'll know Tyntesfield is a place of stunning, opulent majesty. So it makes perfect sense that, if you're going to get way from the hustle and bustle of city life, endless lattes, dapper but shallow corporate businessmen and screen-tapping halfwits then this is the place to recharge those rapidly diminishing batteries.

A Grade I listed VIctorian Gothic Revivial house, 540 acres of parkland, woodland and formal gardens to roam around in makes it the ideal spot for a rejuvenating Friday morning jog. The 5k is open to everyone of all ages and abilities, will be led by members of the Nailsea Running Club, and the price - a more than pocket-friendly £3 - will include a cup of tea or filter coffee afterwards.

Taking place between 10am and 12pm, there's no need to book so you can just turn up on the day. Children must be accompanied and assistance dogs are welcome. You'll meet at 9.55am in the lower courtyard of Home Farm for a pre-run lowdown and briefing, and it goes without saying you'll need to be kitted out with appropriate footwear and running gear as the jog will cover both on and off road terrain.

An excellent way to galvanize your flagging spirits with a breathe of fresh air in truly stunning surroundings, you can find out more by calling 01275 461 964 or visiting the official National Trust website here.

Tyntesfield is located at Wraxall, Bristol, BS48 1NX
