All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately, A Play In Three Days is Bristol Academy of Drama's fourth and final workshop of Summer 2018, taking place from Wednesday 22nd-Friday 24th August. The B.A.D team invites children, aged 7–11, to take an exciting and creative journey into the world of drama and performance by rehearsing and then performing a play in just 3 days. Parents and guardians are advised to book their kids' places as soon as possible to avoid missing out - tickets can be purchased online via the link below.

A Play in 3 Days will run from 22nd-24th August 2018.

Following on from the popular Play in a Day concept, A Play in 3 Days expands on the idea and offers children the opportunity to rehearse and perform a play in a very short space of time. Throughout the 3 days the group will create the world of the play; develop characters, create the scenes to build their play for a performance on the final afternoon.

The workshop is designed to develop and encourage creativity, build confidence and help with improvisation and teamwork skills. More than anything, though, it's designed for those taking part to have a really fun few days and make some friends along the way!

Led by Bristol Academy of Drama's experienced drama facilitators, the children will create the world of the play using costumes and props and basic scenery. They will not only perform in the play but be essential to its creation, sharing ideas and working with others to bring the story to life.

Through speaking, listening and using imagination everyone will work together as a team and build their understanding of how to dramatise the story and present a final production to be shared with an audience of family and friends on the final day.

Bristol Academy of Drama's A Play In 3 Days will take place at the Academy's new centre, the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre at 253b Gloucester Road BS7 8NY. Tickets for the workshop are available now and can be found here.
