Bristol Flyers size up competition as 2018/19 BBL fixture list is released

Posted on: 30 Jul 2018

We're a bit late with the news, as the official BBL 2018/19 fixture list was released a couple of weeks ago on 16th July, but we're eager to bring it to you nonetheless. The Flyers will be looking to improve on last season's run this time around, which saw them finish seventh in the league. See below for a full rundown of their 2018/19 fixtures as well as details on how to book your tickets for the opening matchup.

Bristol Flyers' full fixture list for the 2018/19 BBL season.

2017/18 proved to be a frustrating BBL campaign for the Bristol Flyers, who could only manage a 7th-placed, mid-table finish despite stringing together a couple of good runs of form towards the end of the season. With 19 wins and 16 losses in total they could certainly have fared worse, but Coach K will surely be looking for an improvement from his team this time around.

The squad kick off the new season with two home fixtures at the SGS College Arena in September, with the newly-formed London City Royals their first opponents on Saturday 22nd. Their first away fixture sees them make a short journey north on Friday 5th November for a matchup against Worcester Wolves.

Two of this year's three South West derbies against Plymouth Raiders will take place at the SGS College Arena on Friday 19th October and Friday 8th March, with the return fixture set to take place at Plymouth Pavilions on Sunday 21st April. The latter falls during The Flyers' busiest month of 2018/19, with seven fixtures scheduled.

Bristol will be hoping to end this season on a high, and potentially aiming for a spot in the playoffs, with a final home game against Sheffield Sharks on Friday 26th April, followed by their final matchup of the regular season away against Surrey Scorchers on Sunday 28th.

The above information regarding 2018/19 fixtures is correct at the time of writing but is subject to change throughout the season. Tickets for Bristol Flyers' opening game against the London City Royals are on sale now and can be found here.
