Posted on: 14 Jun 2018

Father’s Day is fast approaching, on Sunday 17th June to be exact. Why not get your dad (or stepdad) something that he will never forget…a balloon ride for instance, a beer tour or boat trip! We have compiled a list of ideas to do for dads (and stepdads) in Bristol.

Take him to eat:

Mint Room

The Mint Room in Bristol

The Mint Room is well worthy of the copious hyperbole which has been heaped on it, by critics and diners alike, on account of the consummate quality of their food. The chefs behind the restaurant pride it on being more than just your average curry house; as such you’ll find much more exotic and luxurious dishes on the menu, as well as more classic tandoori dishes augmented with their signature twist.

Head chef Saravanan Nambirajan - who has worked at the Michelin-starred London restaurant, Tamarind - serves up exciting and innovative infusions in dishes which draw from both traditional and modern Indian cuisine, as well as using British ingredients to add a contemporary note.

Steam

Steam in Bristol

Steam Bristol is a pub located next to Clifton Down Railway Station, just off Whiteladies Road. A fantastic venue with steam punk inspired interiors and lit as well as covered outside decking. It's a welcoming pub serving excellent ales, wine and prosecco at the best prices in the area. They recently achieved the Cask Marque award for their ales. Kitchen residents, 'Cornish Burger Co' serve great burgers, brunches and Steam's rotisserie chicken. Along with their acclaimed weekend brunches and street food parties, Steam is offering something a little different to the pub scene in Bristol.

They have a range of summer events going on, such as bottomless brunch, street food parties and more!
