WECIL invites you to Access All Areas at Watershed Bristol!

Posted on: 10 Jun 2018

Join The West England Centre for Inclusive Living (WECIL) on the 20th June for their Summer Celebration at the Watershed, Bristol!

Access All Areas is a public event designed to introduce you to accessible venues, services, events, exclusive discounts and more. It will provide local businesses with information on how to make their companies and sites more accessible, and will give disabled guests a way to find out about already accessible venues.

The event, held in association with Watershed, will include interactive workshops, informative talks from organisations who are leading the way in accessibility, a free Disability Equality training workshop, music, food and drinks, as well as a very special guest - Deputy Mayor Asher Craig. Actress and disability campaigner Samantha Renke will be delivering the keynote address as well as other speeches from the Deputy Mayor, Dominic Ellison (CEO of WECIL) and Letty Fox (Chair of WECIL). You’ll be able to network with Bristol companies, disability organisations and funders at what’s sure to be an inspiring day.

WECIL Watershed Bristol Event

WECIL was launched in 1995. It aims to provide more choice for disabled people, giving them the opportunity to manage and run their own services as well as live more independently. They provide support and advice, and currently have over 4,000 members.

The daytime event (which is running from 12.30am till 4pm) will be followed by an After Party taking place from 4pm to 6pm, which will give the disabled community a chance to have fun and mingle, as well as find out what is available for them in Bristol.
