The Bristol Hippodrome is one of the city's most historic venues, and the go-to spot in the area to catch some of the world's best on-stage performances. As always, this month sees some top theatre, music and comedy grace the Hippodrome stage, including Cameron Mackintosh's epic Miss Saigon, Bill Bailey's new Larks in Transit live show and Bowie Experience: The Golden Years.

Cameron Mackintosh's new adaptation of the classic Miss Saigon is set to debut in Bristol this month.

 

Bowie Experience, Monday 7th May

The most successful David Bowie tribute show to date is set to take Bristol Hippodrome by storm on the 7th May 2018. This celebration of Bowie’s greatest and most-loved hits will take you on the journey that led to his distinctive and legendary sound. With many shows already sold out, this is sure to be a night not to forget! The terribly missed David Bowie is one of the UK’s greatest music legends. He arrived onto the scene in 1969 with his first mega hit “Space Oddity” and followed this with a career that spanned decades and inspired millions with its radical style.

 

Peppa Pig's Adventure, Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th May

One for the kids to enjoy, bring them down to Join Peppa Pig and friends on their latest adventure at the Bristol Hippodrome this month - it promises to be an afternoon full of fun! The cast will be performing four shows across two days, with showings at 1pm, 4pm and 10am to choose from. Tickets start at £22.15 (incl. booking fee) and are on sale now!

 

Bill Bailey's Larks In Transit, Friday 11th & Saturday 12th

Watch Bill Bailey tackle politics, philosophy and the pursuit of happiness in his latest standup show, coming to Bristol's Hippodrome for two performances in May 2018. A veteran of British comedy, Bailey has been described by the Daily Telegraph as "the brainiest comic of his generation". Tickets start at £34.50 (incl. booking fee) and are on sale now.

 

Miss Saigon, Wednesday 26th May-Saturday 23rd June

The multi award-winning Miss Saigon arrives at the Bristol Hippodrome on Wednesday 16th May 2018 for a bumper lineup of shows, running all the way through to Saturday 23rd July. Miss Saigon tells the story of the last days of the Vietnam War, 17 year-old Kim is forced to work in a Saigon bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American GI named Chris but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For 3 years Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he's fathered a son.
