Pianist Ishay Shaer performs at St George's in Bristol

The Israeli pianist is already making waves on the classical music circuit, his skillful handling of the endlessly compelling piano repertoire already forging a formidable reputation for the musician.

Thursday's concert will see him perform a programme of some of the most sublime works in the piano canon. Beethoven's beautiful, enigmatic Sonata No. 30 in E will rub shoulders with Liszt's sorrowful La Gondola Lugubre No 1 and Chopin's harmonically dense Sonata No 3 in B minor Op 58.

Running for about an hour with no interval, St George's lunchtime concerts offer a marvelous musical pit-stop showcasing many of the greatest pieces ever penned by some of history's most incredible composers.

Tickets cost £8 (free for 8-25s) and can be purchased here.
