A full rundown of fixtures in a busy year ahead for Gloucestershire Cricket
Posted on: 15 Mar 2018Having had a notably average year in 2017 that saw them finish mid-table in Division Two of the County Championships, Gloucestershire Cricket will be looking to make a big improvement this year. Skippered this time around by batsman Chris Dent, they'll be hoping to mount a challenge for promotion to Division One, as well as kicking on in their Royal London One-Day Cup and T20 Vitality Blast fixtures. Below is a brief rundown of their full 2018 fixture list, separated into each individual competition - check out the Gloucestershire Cricket website for more information and ticket bookings.
Specsavers County Championship
As previously mentioned, Gloucestershire endured a pretty mediocre County Championship campaign in 2017, finishing 6th with 3 wins, 4 losses and 7 draws. They'll be hoping for a better outcome this year, kicking off their 2018 season with an away fixture against Kent on Friday 13th April, with their first home runout at The Brightside Ground coming on the following Friday 20th April against Glamorgan. Note: All Specsavers County Championship matches are four-day tests.

Gloucestershire's form in last year's Royal London One-Day Cup competition was also patchy, missing out on the knock-out phase after registering three wins and four losses in the South group. They're set to play four of their seven group matches at The Brightside Ground this time around, hoping that the home crowd might be enough to inspire a decent run of form. Below are the dates for their group fixtures, with more to come if they manage to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

Taking place throughout the Summer months, the Vitality Blast is a favourite among cricket fans. With 18 clubs competing for the title, split into North and South divisions, each team has the chance to progress through their Division and into an eventual final to decide the winners. Gloucestershire haven't reached the Semi-Finals of a T20 competition since 2003, and failed to make it past the group stage in 2017. Check out their South division fixtures below.
