With historical records often throwing an elusive spanner in the works when it comes to detailing women of the past, there is nevertheless plenty of evidence in existence which demonstrates the importance of the contributions they've made and the riveting stories that can be recounted.

Spanning the Victorian, Edwardian and 20th century periods of Bristol, the tour will go some way to redressing the balance to highlight the roles many of the talented and great women had which influenced the city and the importance and legacy they made. Arnos Vale itself is, quite astonishingly, the place of remembrance for an estimated 160,000 women and girl's from Bristol's past.

Tickets for the tour cost £5. For more information about this illuminating insight into the stories of Bristol's historical female contingent, click here.
