Calling all Bristol daredevils: it's not too late to sign up for Penny Brohn UK's Cabot Circus abseil on Saturday 10th March!
Posted on: 03 Mar 2018Cancer charity Penny Brohn UK's fundraising abseil is just around the corner, inviting those brave enough to scale the walls of Cabot Circus! The event, which takes place on Saturday 10th March, costs just £20 and lets you see Cabot Circus from a whole new angle. It's not too late to sign up, and the daring descent is suitable for amateurs and professionals alike!
The abseiling event will take place from 9am to 4pm on the day, with a time slot assigned to each participant throughout the day. The organisers are proud to be working alongside Dave Talbot Adventure Events, whose qualified instructors have over 14 years' experience with abseiling events. Unfortunately, the abseil does have an age limit of 14+, but a range of abilities and fitness levels are welcome.
Alongside the £20 registration fee, those taking part are encouraged to raise as much as they can! Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £50, and those who raise £150 or more - enough to fund three full counseling sessions - will receive a box of chocolates and a Penny Brohn t-shirt! Fundraisers are vital to Penny Brohn UK and other charities like them, and they want you to feel like part of the team. As such, the charity will provide fundraisers with a fundraising pack, an open invitation to their HQ in Pill to see what difference your efforts have made, support on the day to keep you going, and the friendly events team on the phone lines to answer any questions you may have.
