The Big Colour Run - an athletic event held in conjunction with head-to-head sporting events between UWE and the University of Bristol known as the Varsity series - will now take place on Sunday 22nd April rather than this weekend due to the snow in Bristol!

The Big Colour Run in Bristol

The Varsity series is one of the biggest events in the South West, pitting both unis against each other in sports-related games and activities to raise money for a good cause, which this year is Off The Record - a mental health social movement by and for young people aged 11-25 living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

In a break from tradition this year, however, The Big Colour Run, is open to everyone - students and non-students - and encourages participants, no matter what their age or running ability, to just get involved and have great fun on the day. For the first time in the event's history, students, staff, fundraisers and the wonderful folk of Bristol will be able to get in on the athletic action and become part of the Varisty Series' renowned and esteemed history.

Taking place at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex, entry is £10/£15 and that includes a Varsity Colour Run t-shirt and pair of sunglasses. Registration starts at 12pm for a 1.30pm and 2pm start.

You can keep up-to-date with the event on the official Facebook page
