The reading and afternoon tea set menu with one of the region's finest and most respected authors will take place between 4pm and 6pm. Aimed at encouraging children to read books, acknowledging the work of illustrators and authors and raising awareness of low literacy levels in the UK, money raised from ticket sales with go straight to the very worthwhile National Literacy Trust.

World Book Day itself is now one of the UK's most beloved yearly events, with research from the National Literacy Trust proving that on the day a quarter of eight to 11-year-olds in the country get their very first opportunity to purchase their own book. Even more staggeringly, it revealed 1 in 8 disadvantaged children in the UK don't even own one. Time, then, to discourage the use of those iPads and swap them instead for one of those marvellous, paper-based tomes.

Tickets are priced at £20 per person, which includes Sian's reading and the afternoon tea, and can be purchased here.
