Set in London during the Second World War, the thrilling and evocative love story tells the tale of a chance meeting which results in a magical night for Cinderella and a dashing young RAF pilot, together just long enough to fall in love before being parted by the horrors of the Blitz. The production, which forms part of the New Adventures Company's 30th Anniversary celebrations, is a truly gripping war-time romance.
With eye-catching sets and costume design from Olivier Award-winner Lez Brotherston, and lighting by fellow winner Neil Austin, Cinderella will be performed with exquisite visuals and sound in the historic Bristol Hippodrome.
Backed too by a specially commissioned recording played by a 60-piece orchestra, Matthew Bourne's vivid storytelling has never been more heart-stopping than in his upcoming production of Cinderella.The show promises to captivate audiences as they are taken into the heart of Prokofiev's magnificent score among the sights and sounds of war-torn London.
