The Bristol Foodies Festival will take place on Durdham Downs and features amazing food and drink demonstrations, master classes, pop-ups and a market, as well as live music, and wellbeing in the Healthy Living zone.

Foodies Festival | 365 BristolIn the Chef’s Theatre, you’ll be able to see Michelin Star chefs, MasterChef winners and other top chefs cooking live. Some Bristol names on the bill are Chef Josh Eggleton from The Pony & Trap, Freddy Bird from Lido, John Watson from No Man’s Grace, and Jan Ulster from Wilson’s Restaurant. Other big names are GBBO Finalist 2017 Steven Carter-Bailey who will be baking live, Great British Menu Winner Richard Bainbridge from Benedicts, Michelin Starred Chef Robert Potter from The Manor, MasterChef Winner and Executive Chef at Chi Kitchen Ping Coombes, Omar Allibhoy from Tapas Revolution, Chris Cleghorn from The Olive Tree, author of ‘Happy Food’ Bettina Campolucci-Bordi, ‘The Curry Guy’ Dan Toombs, author of ‘Food for a Happy Gut’ Naomi Devlin and author of ‘Fuse, Cook & Eat’ Anupreet Attridge.

 

As well at watching food demonstrations, you’ll be able to taste delicious dishes from pop up restaurants and Street Food stands. enjoy champagne, wine and beer masterclasses and see Bake Off winners in the new Cake & Desserts Theatre.Foodies Festival | 365 Bristol Music-wise, you’ll be able to discover the best of British Unsigned Music on the Live Music Stage this Summer. Foodies Festival continues to support emerging talent, exciting new bands and solo artists.

 

The festival will celebrate live music into the night on the newly launched stage with performances from much-loved headliner Toploader, power pop rock group Dodgy and hugely admired band The Hoosiers. Supported by Musicians Against Homelessness, the live music stage will see talented emerging bands and solo artists perform with tickets raising money for UK-wide homelessness charity Crisis.

 

Alan McGee, Patron of Musicians Against Homelessness, said: “Foodies Festival is the UK's largest food and drink festival and with such fantastic summer events it seemed a natural link to partner with a festival that reaches the hearts of so many local communities. In turn, we’re confident that they can help us raise awareness and funds for our homelessness charity Crisis by bringing popular headliner bands to their stages alongside some of the country’s best unsigned musical talent."

 

The Healthy Living zone will help you kickstart your summer. You can join a yoga or mindfulness class, gain nutrition advice from our experts, watch top chefs cook their favourite healthy recipes and then shop at our artisan market, full of award winning local produce.

 

There will be a variety of workshops on varied topics such as; The Power of Plant Based Proteins, Gut Friendly Food, Kombucha: A Healthy Tipple, Craft Tea – DIY Tea Blends; Prosecco & parmesan tasting, Beer & chocolate tasting as well as cocktail & botanicals masterclasses. You can enjoy refreshing cocktails from the Tequila Shack, Tikki Rum Bar, Gin Station, double-decker Bar Bus and Pimms Teapot.

Foodies Festival | 365 BristolThere’s lots of fun for kids too with the brand new Cream Pie throwing contest. There’s a Kid zone with fun cookery classes, bouncy castles, face painting, craft area and giant garden games.
