Psycho killers, creatures of the night and prehistoric dinosaurs are just three of the fantastically frightening filmic fiends that will be getting the cinematic musical treatment in Heroes at Monsters at Colston Hall in Bristol on Friday 2nd March 2018 - now Thursday 7th June 2018 due to the March snow in Bristol!.

***RESCHEDULED TO THURSDAY 7TH JUNE 2018 DUE TO THE SNOW IN BRISTOL***

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Colston Hall in Bristol

With the superb musicians of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performing and charismatic conductor Peter Harrison at the helm, the stirring - and this time slightly more sinister - sounds of the silver screen will be unleashed in true, cinematic fashion.

Amongst the plethora of creepy critters, Chianti-sipping cannibals and wand-waving wizards to get the full orchestral might will be soundtrack selections from Psycho, Gremlins, Harry Potter, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Lord of the Rings.

Some of filmdoms most legendary composers - as well as a few of its more contemporary maestros - will be well represented including the likes of Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Howard Shore, Michael Giacchino and, of course, the master of modern film music himself, John Williams.

These concerts are always packed to the rafters and well attended by a refreshing cross-section of young and old alike, so in that sense these concerts transcend musical boundaries and represent something memorable, personal and nostalgic to cinema-goers of all ages. In other words, these gigs are often as brilliant and unforgettable as the films themselves.
