Set your phrases to pun - master of the quick-fire one-liner Tim Vine will have us all rolling in the aisles when he takes to the stage of the Redgrave Theatre in Bristol from Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st February 2018.

Back on tour and with a raft of brand new jokes and props, the madcap linguistic lunacy of the man never ceases to entertain and amuse. The mirth-meister promises to dish up a funny bone-tickling feast of quirky quips in his own offbeat style that will touch upon, in his own words, "pixie football, ice cream and nibble feeders."

The comedian, actor, writer and presenter is no stranger to the screens of those on these shores, having appeared alongside Lee Mack in the cracking comedy show Not Going Out and, most recently, Comedy Playhouse.  He won the award for best joke at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010 and 2014, the winning one-liners in question being: "I've just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I'll tell you what, never again" and “I decided to sell my Hoover... well it was just collecting dust.”

Here are five more guffaw-inducing witticims from the wonderful world of Tim Vine:

“I’d like to start with the chimney jokes – I’ve got a stack of them. The first one is on the house.”
“I did a gig in a fertility clinic. I got a standing ovulation.”
“I had a dream last night that I was cutting carrots with the Grim Reaper – dicing with death.”
“I rang up British Telecom and said: ‘I want to report a nuisance caller.’ He said: ‘Not you again.'”
“I met this bloke with a didgeridoo and he was playing Dancing Queen on it. I thought, ‘that’s Abba-riginal.'”

Ingenious, hilarious and as mad a box of frogs, the show is currently sold out but keep your peepers open at the theatre's box office for any returns as this is guaranteed to be one of the funniest, zaniest shows this year. Click here for more info.
