'Rooftops & Archways' Art Exhibition at Christmas Steps Gallery from Tuesday 30th January to Sunday 11th February 2018
Posted on: 30 Jan 2018Christmas Steps Gallery in Bristol will be hosting a very special exhibition of the work of local fine artist Susie Ramsay from Tuesday 30th January to Sunday 11th February 2018.
The solo exhibition, titled Rooftops and Archways, will continue her exploration and study of the city's most significant architectural landscapes with a very special chance to see ten of her new artistic creations for the very first time.
After the success of her last exhibition - Streets, Lanes and Skylines - in 2016, this collection of work will demonstrate her innate and incomparable methods of depicting the city's most interesting and intriguing aspects, viewpoints and sneaky, out-of-the-way spots, all painted with an originality and freshness of perspective.
Susie herself said of her new exhibition: "The aim of my new work is to present a bold and contemporary vision of Bristol. This collection presents a freer series of paintings than previous exhibitions, capturing the spirit and vibrancy of the city. My work is inspired by how the natural world impacts on our built environment. How a change in light, weather or season can transform our daily city landscape. 'Rooftops and Archways' is about revealing the hidden parts of Bristol and presenting the city in a new light".
A free event throughout, there will be a sneak peak, no-invitation-necessary event for everyone on Tuesday 20th January from 6pm-8pm, with opening times for the remainder of the exhibition being 10am-6pm. Susie will be on-hand throughout the exhibition's tenure to chat about her current pieces and what her artistic future has in store.
