En Vogue to play O2 Academy Bristol on 5th April 2018
Posted on: 16 Jan 2018R&B legends En Vogue have announced several UK tour dates, including Bristol’s O2 Academy on Thursday 5th April. Tickets go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 19th January 2018 and if the buzz around the announcement is anything to go by, they are set to sell out fast.
En Vogue’s unforgettable sound and image set the tone for female R&B and pop in the 90’s. Their most famous hit were ‘Hold On’, ‘Free Your Mind’, ‘Whatta Man’ featuring Salt-N-Pepa, and ‘My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)’ featuring its iconic a cappella breakdown.
En Vogue’s original line up was Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones and the band went through various configurations over the years. The line-up now features founding members Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron who are joined by Rhona Bennet who has been with the band off and on since 2003.
Following their European tour and releases of singles, 'I'm Good', 'Have a Seat' featuring Snoop Dogg, and 'Rocket' in 2017, En Vogue are set to release their seventh full-length studio album, Electric Cafe, on March 30th this year. Electric Cafe includes contributions from Raphael Saadiq, Ne-yo, Dem Jointz and production work from Foster & McElroy.
