Bristol's WWI Women Exhibition at Bristol Cathedral from Monday 15th January to Saturday 24th March 2018Posted on: 04 Jan 2018
An exhibition celebrating the pivotal work and roles of women during WW1 will run at Bristol Cathedral from Monday 15th January to Saturday 24th March 2018.
Bristol Women at War will acknowledge the incredible part women played throughout the Great War and examine the primary shift in their workplace roles as they took on jobs that had, until then, previously been performed by men.
Also focusing on the vital and influential roles women participated in for the Red Cross Society and Bristol Inquiry Bureau, it will be a marvellous, worthy tribute of stories about those frequently unsung 'sheroes' who kept things ticking along whilst their loved ones were away.
Bristol Women at War is a free event. You can find out more about this and other events taking place at Bristol Cathedral here
