Handel's Messiah will be performed by Bristol Ensemble and Choir of Royal Holloway at St George's in Bristol on Wednesday 13th December 2017.

 

The colossal, epic masterwork, written by one of the Baroque period's finest composers, is one of towering majesty, brilliance, audacity and passion, and will, as always, get a superlative, incredible rendition courtesy of some of the finest musicians and singers in the region.

Deviating from the usually staged, staid version of performances, many of the choir's soloists will be positioned around the hall to give the performance a fresh, immersive, surround-sound acoustic and breathe new life into Handel's indisputable masterpiece. 

 

One of the highlights of St George's Christmas calendar, expect an astonishing performance of a Baroque classic performed by outstanding singers and instrumentalists.
