Nuts Over The Atlantic help Bristol boys fundraise for The Movember FoundationPosted on: 07 Dec 2017
Help four friends from Bristol who are competing in The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in aid for The Movember Foundation - a charity dedicated to tackling male mental and physical health.
The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge will see the guys leave La Gomera in the Canary Islands on 12th December and arrive in Antigua, the Caribbean between 40 and 60 days later. A monumental rowing challenge that will see the brave friends face isolation, 40ft waves, sleep deprivation, salt sores, extreme weather conditions and more.
Between them, they have been personally affected by the causes Movember fight for. With the help and support of each other they have been able to overcome difficulties and want to enable others to do so as well.
The men have lost friends and loved ones to both suicide and testicular cancer. They realised how much of a positive impact The Movember Foundation has on men and their families for each of the conditions they have been affected by.
They have spent over £85.000 of their own money however are short of £25,000 to complete the project.
Help them in their plight to use the Atlantic Challenge as a platform to raise a substantial amount of money for the charity and in turn to help to stop young men from dying too soon.
