Joanna Lumley to bring her first-ever live show to Bristol's Hippodrome on Thursday 18th October 2018
Posted on: 30 Nov 2017One of Britain's best-loved cultural icons, Joanna Lumley, will be embarking on her first-ever live tour in 2018. It's All About Me sees Joanna performing 30 shows across the UK and Ireland, arriving in Bristol on Thursday 18th October 2018 to appear at The Hippodrome. Tickets for the special event go on sale at 9am on Friday 1st December 2018.
It's All About Me marks Joanna Lumley's first journey into live headline shows, so this one is certainly not to be missed. Joanna will take audiences through her hilarious and interesting adventures from her incredible career, recounting some never-heard-before stories. She will be joined on tour by friend and producer Clive Tulloh, who provide a medium for audience members to ask Joanna questions that they've always wanted to ask, but not had the chance.
Joanna Lumley has made a name for herself as one of Britain's most recognisable personalities, with TV roles, film performances, modeling and activism earning her adoration around the country. She first gained recognition with TV series' The New Avengers and Sapphire & Steel, before earning two BAFTA awards for her role as Patsy Stone in the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.
As well as her TV repertoire, she has starred in an array of films, including 1969 Bond flick On Her Majesty's Secret Service, much-loved children's film James and the Giant Peach, and a cameo role alongside Leonardo Dicaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Perhaps Lumley's most respected efforts have been her displays of generosity and activism for a number of causes. She is known to be an outspoken human rights activist, supports animal welfare campaigns and is a patron of the Farm Animal Sanctuary.
