Imperial Leisure will be performing, their alt-ska, college band sound. They have been producing winning songs for years now, as the band have supported artists such as Less Than Jake, Roots Manuva and Young Blood Brass Band. They have rocked audiences from Glastonbury and Bestival to Blissfields and 2000 Trees, with their ever-evolving musical style.

Bad Skanta, Imperial Leisure's annual Christmas charity bash takes to the streets again from the 9th to the 16th of December to raise money for those in need. The series of short impromptu performances on the streets of town centers in cities across the country sees Imperial Leisure perform four songs in each location and then have a collection for charity at the end. Last year they raised just under £1000 for CALM and The Louise Hamilton Trust. This year’s chosen charity has yet to be announced.

The live dates are the first of many that the band will be playing in the UK and Europe over the coming months in the build-up to the tenth anniversary of the release of their debut album The Art Of Saying Nothing next year. Imperial Leisure will celebrate this milestone with the release of a special new deluxe edition featuring the original album together with bonus tracks and new mixes.

Originally formed in 2008, the current line-up is Denis Smith (vocals), Scott Vining (drums), Ben Bridges (guitar), Jack Emmings (bass), Richard Cox (keys) and Rob O'Neale (trumpet) - together with trombonists Steph Faulkner (Mad Apple Circus) and Russel Spencer (Ghouls / The King Blues) and on trumpet Ken Brown (Shanty), Dave Medland (Dub Pistols) and Elliot Phelps (Cut Capers / The King Blues / Lux Lisbon) have built a reputation as one of the most exciting and unpredictable live bands around. Drawing influence from bands such as The Specials, Roots Manuva, Less Than Jake, Youngblood Brass Band, Rage Against the Machine and The Streets they’ve now released three acclaimed albums and toured the UK and Europe extensively, most recently with Hot 8 Brass Band on their recent tour.
