WECIL are excited to announce that they have been successful in securing continued funding from Children In Need, so they can continue to run The Inclusion Project that brings together disabled and disadvantaged young people 11 to 19 years old in Bristol.

WECIL Bristol

Initially delivered in Hartcliffe and Hillfields it has now been extended into Knowle West so WECIL can continue to break down the barriers that exist between disabled and disadvantaged young people.

The funding starts in November 2017 and lasts until October 2020. They are delighted that the new commissioning will also include three trips per year to bring together children from across the areas and give them to access to experiences outside of their neighbourhood.

These inclusive sessions make a positive impact on not only the young people who attend but also the families and guardians of these young people, allowing them to gain life skills, build their confidence and meet new friends in a positive environment. Since the project launched in Nov 2014 the Children In Need funding has helped WECIL have a positive impact on hundreds of young people’s lives.

The new Inclusion Group will launch in 2018, once WECIL have found a suitable venue and recruited a new Lead Youth Worker for these sessions. If you or anyone you know would like to be a part of The Inclusion Project then please contact WECIL on 0117 947 9911.
