Posted on: 26 Oct 2017Based at Spike Island, Spike Design is offering affordable co-working spaces to creative businesses, with over 70 artists and 50 social enterprises and cultural businesses already operating from the centre.
Spike Design's space provides "incubation and collaborative opportunities for creative businesses, including designers (graphic, product, digital and interactive), architects, illustrators, filmmakers, journalists and photographers" at an affordable price. Part of the Network of Creative Enterprise that supports creatives across the west of England, Spike Design offers a range of benefits included in the membership cost, such as reception services, free meeting room hire, bookable editing suites and more.

Previously described as a "grow on" collaborative space, the facility offers a unique opportunity for artists and businesses to work alongside each other and share ideas in a bustling creative environment. As former business tenant Wilf Witty explains, "Spike Design offers an ideal base to explore collaborative practice: it's a space where you can meet people with complementary skills and where a conversation over a cup of tea can quickly grow into joint ventures".

Full membership of Spike Design's shared office space costs £175pcm and includes:
- One-to-one sessions to support your creative and operational business needs
- Access to our extensive creative networks throughout Bristol and the South West
- Free hire of our private conference rooms
- Free coffee exclusively for Spike Design tenants
- Year-round exhibitions programme (free entry) for lunchtime inspiration, along with creative events throughout the year
- Table tennis, tenants clubs and socials
- In-house Spike Island Café serving organic lunches, cakes, coffees and craft beers to keep the creative juices flowing
